About Us

Mission: The mission of the Johnston Basketball Club is to organize, develop, promote, and support competitive youth basketball programs designed for 1st through 8th grade student-athletes in the Johnston Community School District.

Purpose: The Johnston Basketball Club is founded on the principle of providing an opportunity for serious basketball players to improve their individual skills while working within the framework of the Johnston Varsity Basketball programs.  The emphasis will be on developing a strong skill-set, a positive attitude and an intense work ethic while enhancing their enjoyment of the game. In addition to the thorough skill training, student-athletes with advanced skills may be selected to participate in competitive games and tournament play.

Program Structure: Johnston Basketball Club is a not-for-profit organization that consists of a volunteer Board of Directors. Basketball training sessions will be provided for all members and there will be a minimum of one competitive team selected for each grade level. Each team will have a Head Coach selected by the JBC Board.
